My work explores the emotional and cinematic power of landscape, drawing inspiration from the spaces and beauty of the American West. Through painting, I aim to capture moments that feel suspended in time & landscapes that carry a quiet intensity and a sense of narrative.
The West, in particular, holds a powerful visual language: endless skies, open roads, and dramatic light that transforms ordinary scenes into something cinematic. I am drawn to these spaces because they embody both freedom and reflection. They allow the viewer to imagine stories unfolding within the landscape.
Connection
Painting became therapeutic for me after the loss of my mum, when returning to the canvas allowed me to process grief and reconnect with creativity. Since then, my work has become a way of translating emotion into landscape — creating scenes that carry both stillness and story.
Through my paintings, I hope to create moments of connection where viewers can project their own memories and emotions into the landscape. Ultimately, my work is about atmosphere, storytelling, and the quiet power of place.
